A damai ["one who sews" -- member of the untouchable tailor/musician caste] -- a damai went wandering.
A damai went wandering and wandering.
He wandered and wandered and he came to a tree in fruit.
There was a disheveled creature eating [the fruits], a little here, a little there.
The damai looked on.
He looked up -- the other ate a little here, he ate a little there.
He watched, and then coming up from below ...
looking ...
The other ate.
"You, big chief ["head"], I salute you!
Big chief, I salute you!" and he played oboe "wheeeeeee" and danced.
"Throw some down to me, too, big chief, throw some down to me, too!
I've danced all this time, why don't you drop some for me?
Hey, big chief, throw some down for me!"
He danced.
The other didn't drop any for him.
"Why are you angry with me, big chief?"
He just kept on dancing.
Then thinking the other would never give him any, he poked him with his oboe.
The other came tumbling down out of the tree, caught him by the neck, and pinned him to the ground -- the disheveled one did.
"Hey, hey chief, don't crush me!
Don't crush me, I only begged for food, dont crush me!" he said.
Don't crush me for begging for food!
Why? I'm keeping quiet -- you don't say a word!"
He crushed him violently, sqashing him this way and that.
He tore his mouth wide open.
It was gaping open.
He pulled off his skin.
That's all that happened.
He left.
